The Progressive Student Action Front at Al-Najah University in Nablus will protest on Monday afternoon, October 13, at 12:30 pm outside the university administration building at Al-Najah’s old campus, in protest of the administration’s continued banning of two student activists from campus.
The administration’s action is continued retaliation for the student protest against the visit of the U.S. consul to campus, while the United States provides billions of dollars in military and economic support and unlimited political and diplomatic support to the Zionist occupation. Two weeks ago, students protested his visit and were attacked by university security, even outside the campus property.
Despite the stated agreement of the university administration and the signing of a pledge between the administration and students that the students would be allowed to return to campus, it appears that the security is blocking their return. The Progressive Student Action Front asked in a statement, “Has campus security become the owner and director of the university?”
The Front is committed to continue its protests, accompanied by other student political blocs, to resolve this issue and ensure the students’ return to campus.
