The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in northern Gaza organized a voluntary work day in Beit Hanoun in the martyrs’ cemetery. The cemetery was targeted by Zionist occupation forces from the first day of the assault on Gaza, shelled by tanks which later entered the city, leading to significant damage to the graves, including the opening of some, as a result of warplanes bombarding the homes surrounding the cemetery.

The volunteer work day is one of a series of actions organized by the Front in Beit Hanoun to highlight the suffering and destruction waged by the occupation forces over 51 days of aggression, and to declare the town of Beit Hanoun a disaster area in urgent need of relief.
