PSLF and Islamic Bloc hold joint student rally in Gaza to support intifada

The Progressive Student Labor Front and the Islamic Bloc at Al-Azhar University in Gaza organized a solidarity demonstration in support of the popular uprising and intifada on November 4, marching through the university’s squares chanting in support of the continuation of the intifada.

In a joint statement of the two organizations, delivered by Comrade Maher Mizher of the Progressive Student Action Front, they saluted the resistance actions and popular demonstrations of the intifada, saying that the intifada by every tool and means is the road to the liberation of Palestine and its holy sites, and stopping the onslaught of the settlers who are killing and burning Palestinian children and families. He urged the continuation of confrontation and operations in the checkpoints and streets, urging that student and youth organizations’ leadership and Palestinian factions must work to form a unified leadership and dedicate serious efforts to sustaining the intifada and to move and mobilize the youth of the Arab and Muslim world to act for Palestine.

The student statement also denounced the Palestinian Authority’s
security forces in the West Bank ongoing security coordination with the occupation, demanding that they instead join the resistance and stop participating in the suppression of the uprising.

Mizher: Palestinian youth are leading the intifada, exposing Zionist falsehoods

Mizher: Palestinian youth are leading the intifada, exposing Zionist falsehoods

Comrade Jamil Mizher, member of the Political Bureau of the
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, saluted the spirit of the heroic martyr of al-Khalil, Ibrahim Skafi, who carried out a heroic operation which injured several Israeli soldiers, causing panic among the occupying forces in the area. Mizher noted that the operation only re-confirms that the intifada and resistance of our people cannot be stopped by the attacks of the occupier.

Mizher also saluted the masses of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza Strip, occupied Palestine 48, the camps and everywhere in diaspora, who continue to struggle and engage in the uprising despite the enormous sacrifices given by our people.

In an interview on Al-Aqsa TV, Mizher said that the most important achievement to date of the current uprising is the emergence of a strong young generation that is leading in the midst of the battle, noting that the intifada has proven once again the falsehood of the Zionist statement that “the old will die and the young will soon forget.” Instead, this generation has shown its commitment and dedication to the resistance of our people until achieving our goals: return, liberation and self-determination.

Mizher said that this uprising is also striking blows against the Zionist insistence on considering occupied Jerusalem to be “the eternal capital of the Israeli state,” as the people of Jerusalem and its youth are fighting the occupation for their city. The uprising has also come in contrast to the predictions made at last year’s Herzliya conference, which sought to remove the Palestinian situation from the table as the occupier bet on calm in occupied Palestine. The uprising of Palestinian youth has surprised and disoriented the occupier.

Furthermore, Mizher noted, the uprising unites the Palestinian masses throughout the occupied homeland, where the Palestinian people and their blood in the West Bank, Jerusalem, Gaza and occupied Palestine 48 are standing together, reflecting popular unity and determination. He urged the need to build on this basis to continue and escalate the intifada and provide all elements of steadfastness and protection for its continuation until the ousting of the occupier.

This uprising did not come from a vacuum, but erupted following a series of accumulating and ongoing crimes against our people, including the ongoing Judaization and ethnic clansing of Jerusalem, the ongoing killings, the land confiscation, home demolition and attempts to change the “facts on the ground,” the storming of Al-Aqsa and attempted division of it, said Mizher. He noted also that this uprising follows ongoing Palestinian responses and resistance actions to these crimes, including the operation by the hero and martyr Moataz Hijazi, as well as the martyrs of the Front, Uday and Ghassan Abu Jamal. These operations and the new daily operations are being carried out by the children of the Palestinian factions, raised in the national struggle, even if each operation is carried out on a spontaneous or individual basis in the fire of the intifada, said Mizher.

He denounced those who are attempting to bet on a break, calm, or downturn in the intifada or the surrender of the Palestinian people, saying that the reality is that Oslo and the occupation will fall before our people and that our people will esclate the uprising to confront the occupier.

He also urged the immediate implementation of the recommendations of the Political Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, including putting a final end to the Oslo agreement, ending security coordination and economic, political and security agreements with the occupier. The declaration of the Executive Committee of the PLO to end this coordination is a positive step but must be implemented in practice rather than simply using it as a rhetorical device while coordination continues on the ground, said Mizher.

He also urged the formation of a united national strategy with a common vision for the continuation of the uprising, and the need to confront all attempts to return to the futile and harmful negotiations or rely on the US government, which is a full partner in the aggression against the Palestinian people, said Mizher.

Mizher stated the necessity of providing political protection for the uprising by enhancing the steadfastness of our people and compensating families whose homes have been demolished or displaced, as well as the promotion of social solidarity to the people under difficult circumstances.

Furthermore, Mizher said, the most important threat to the continuity of the uprising is the absence of a unified national leadership. He urged the necessity of working in a national framework to strengthen the political, organizational and economic pillars of continuity of the intifada, and to convert the occupation into a losing project on security and economic levels, raising the cost to the occupier.

Mizher also emphasized the need to have no illusions about the Arab regimes that are backed by the United States as part of the program to destroy the Arab liberation project and support the Zionist project, stating that we must rely on the Palestinian people first, alongside the Arab people and the popular, democratic forces of the world, where the current intifada has brought the issue of Palestine back to the forefront after years of marginalization.

PFLP denounces attempts to silence Al-Mayadeen TV channel

PFLP denounces attempts to silence Al-Mayadeen TV channel

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine expressed its solidarity with Al-Mayadeen satellite channel, strongly condemning the actions of the Arabsat company and its sponsors threatening to stop its broadcast over the Arabsat satellite, saying that this is a political action attempting to silence the voice of the resistance and the interests and issues of the peoples, including the Palestinian people, who recognize the status and value of Al-Mayadeen channel in their struggle, exposing the crimes of the Zionist enemy.

The Front emphasized that the decision to silence the broadcast of Al-Mayadeen cannot be understood except in the context of the participation of Arab officials, parties and states in schemes hostile to the interests of the people of the Arab nation, and therefore calls upon all of the forces of the Arab liberation movement to stand in solidarity and defense of Al-Mayadeen as a defense of the issues and interests of our peoples.

The Front has great confidence that Al-Mayadeen channel will be able to withstand these pressures and will maintain its policy of publicizing the struggles of the liberation movements not only in our region but in all parts of the world, as is expressed particularly in its coverage and communication with the peoples and movements of Latin America.

PFLP: Occupier’s invasion of Al-Ahli hospital and execution of Abdullah Shalaldeh requires escalation of the intifada

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said that the attack of undercover Zionist forces
against Al-Ahli Hospital in al-Khalil and the cold-blooded execution of Abdullah Azzam Shalaldeh, and the kidnapping of his cousin from the hospital, must urge further escalation of the intifada, targeting settlers and occupation forces by all means. The Front further considers that this crime reveals the character of the fascist state that does not cease its violation of international conventions, including international humanitarian law and conventions prohibiting attacks on hospitals.

The Front renewed its call to set up committees for popular protection in all cities, villages and camps to confront the crimes of the occupation and the settler hordes, and for the Palestinian security services to transform themselves into forces for the security and defense of our people and their institutions under attack, the most recent of which is Al-Ahli Hospital, following attacks on hospitals, schools, universities, Al-Aqsa Mosque and other centers of Palestinian life.

Comrade Leila Khaled keynote speaker at International League of People’s Struggles assembly in Manila

Comrade Leila Khaled, member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, began a visit to the Philippines on November 11 with an address at the International Women’s Assembly, a gathering bringing together women involved in liberation movements around the world. Khaled’s visit to the Philippines comes in the context of the Fifth International Assembly of the International League of People’s Struggles, which includes numerous mass organizations, popular organizations, unions and social movements around the world, especially from Asia and Southeast Asia.

Comrade Leila Khaled will participate in a series of events and lectures organized by ILPS and associated organizations, as well as the GABRIELA women’s organization in the Philippines and the International Women’s Assembly. She will deliver a keynote speech at the Fifth International Assembly of ILPS.

In her speech to the IWA, Khaled called for strengthening the alliance of peoples’ movements and revolutionary forces of democracy and national liberation around the world, who are engaged in daily, fierce battles confronting imperialism, Zionism, racism and national and class oppression. Emphasizing the role of women in liberation movements in Palestine around the world, she discussed the Palestinian movement and called for escalating the breadth and comprehensiveness of the international boycott of Israel, through economic, cultural, academic and all forms of boycott, and ending all political relations with the racist occupation state on the road to the isolation and defeat of the Zionist project in occupied Palestine.

She urged support for the rising intifada in Palestine, and the central role of the struggle of Palestinian prisoners, led by Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, the imprisoned General Secretary of the PFLP. Khaled called for greater exposure of the daily crimes committed by the occupation state against the Palestinian people – siege, assassinations, mass arrests, particularly targeting hundreds of Palestinian children and youth.

She further emphasized the centrality of the right of return of Palestinian refugees for the liberation of Palestine, and the need to dismantle the Zionist project in Palestine and establish justice, democracy and equality on the land of Palestine.

PFLP denounces horrific bombings in Beirut, stands with Lebanese people against killers

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine denounced the horrific criminal bombings in Bourj al-Barajneh, in southern Beirut on Thursday evening, which killed dozens and injured hundreds in a working-class neighborhood that has always been a home of dignity and resistance. Comrade Abu Ahmad Fuad, the Deputy General Secretary of the PFLP, sent his sincere condolences to the Lebanese people and to the Lebanese resistance in the face of this crime.

In an interview on Al-Mayadeen TV, Fuad said that the massacre bears the hallmarks of the Mossad and its tools that seek to weaken the resistance and divide the people, particularly in light of recent events in Lebanon and Syria, and in the context of the growing intifada in Palestine, which is turning the eyes and the hearts of the region once again to the central issue of Palestine. “This massacre also comes immediately following the exposure of Zionist espionage networks in Lebanon,” noted Fuad. He asserted his strongest confidence in the Lebanese people and the Lebanese resistance to overcome the Zionist criminals and the murderous extremist takfiri attacks.

The PFLP in Lebanon also saluted the strength of the Lebanese people and the Palestinian people in the camps, standing together, donating blood, and demanding justice for this mass murder, mourning the martyrs, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded, concluding by saying that “the people of Lebanon will be victorious.”

Statement of PFLP Youth and Students on the Criminal Massacre in Beirut

Statement of PFLP Youth and Students on the Criminal Massacre in Beirut

Youth and student organizations of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Palestine and in diaspora strongly condemn the criminal bombings in the southern suburbs of Beirut, in the home of glory and resistance. This heinous massacre perpetrated by the hands of murder and crime against our people in Lebanon, is a massacre perpetrated against the people of the resistance that defeated the Zionist enemy and rubbed his nose in the dirt, is a massacre perpetrated against the Palestinian people, and is a massacre against all those who are committed to resistance until liberation as the only way to defeat the Zionist occupation and settler colonial project in Palestine and the Arab region.

The student and youth organizations of the PFLP reaffirm their solidarity with the Lebanese people and the Lebanese resistance, and emphasize that the fingerprints of the Zionist enemy and its collaborators are clearly visible on this bloody scene. The battle between the occupier and its tools on the one hand and between the forces of resistance and liberation on the other hand is a long and difficult fight, that will end with the achievement of victory for our people. The objective of this massacre is to divert once again the popular compass of the nation away from the Palestinian cause as a central issue, and to divert attention from the rising intifada in occupied Palestine.

The student and youth organizations of the PFLP call on all youth and students in the Arab nation, from the Atlantic to the Gulf, to be vigilant and aware and not misled and dragged by misinformation and deception from Washington, the Zionist entity and all their tools in the region.

Barakat: Heinous crime in Paris is the responsibility of imperialism, colonialism and reactionary forces

Responsibility for the heinous massacre that took place in Paris last night, claiming the lives of at least 120 innocent people, lies primarily with colonialism, imperialism, and the murderous criminal takfiri forces, and particularly with the United States, the French state and their reactionary tools in the region, said Comrade Khaled Barakat, coordinator of the international Campaign to Free Ahmad Sa’adat.
In an interview with the PFLP information department, Barakat said that “the fascist right wing and the Zionist enemy are the sole beneficiaries of this heinous crime, which is a net profit for them. Arabs, and in particular Palestinians, are and will pay the price of both the attacks that took place in Bourj al-Barajneh in south Beirut against innocent people, and those in Paris, also against civilians.” Barakat pointed to “a wave of racism that some are trying to incite in Lebanon against our Palestinian people, which is even more severe in colonial France, where we are witnessing rising waves of racism and hatred against migrants, refugees and poor citizens, particularly Arabs and Africans in Europe.”

Barakat pointed out that “France’s bloody colonial history in Algeria, Syria, Lebanon and elsewhere in the Arab world is still fresh in the Arab popular memory, while France continues to this day to support the racist Zionist state and the reactionary Arab regimes with arms supplies and deals. The French state is hostile to the right of the Palestinian and Arab peoples to self-determination and liberation, while inside France, multiple forms of racism and oppression are practiced against poor and working-class Arabs and Muslims. All of these factors weaken Arab solidarity and can distort the image of the reality of this crime.”

“The way to hit U.S. and European imperialist interests today is not through crimes and bloody massacres against civilians in the streets of Paris, London and New York, but to challenge those interests by organizing popular Arab movements, strengthening solidarity campaigns and real revolutionary anti-imperialist movements, and confrontng the colonial policies of the West through mobilizing the masses – students at universities, workers in trade unions, members of churches and other public institutions and social sectors,” said Barakat. “We must normalize the people’s resistance and the forces of the resistance, and strengthen the role and the voice of Palestinian and Arab communities in the West,” particularly at this time of increased racist oppression and threats.

“The reactionary, obscurantist takfiri groups are a natural product of the current reality in the Arab world, amid massive underdevelopment and the power of vicious reactionary regimes and tools of imperialism, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. We also note the destructive role played by countries such as Turkey and other NATO allies in the region,” said Barakat.

Barakat said that such entities as “Al-Qaeda,” “Al-Nusra,” “ISIS” and other obscurantist, reactionary takfiri forces will not last long as a force and are “in the process of disappearing, partially at the hands of those who have shaped them, after being used to achieve specific goals, employed in the creation of chaos, sabotage and sectarianism, and failing to achieve the objectives of imperialist and reactionary Arab forces in a number of regions and countries.”
