Ninth anniversary of the abduction of Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat and the attack on Jericho prison

Saturday, March 14 marks the ninth anniversary of the Zionist occupation forces’ attack on the Jericho Prison of the Palestinian Authorty and the arrest of the General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, and Comrades Ahed Abu Ghoulmeh, Majdi Rimawi, Hamdi Qur’an and Basil al-Asmar, as well as Major General Fuad Shobaki.

On this date in 2006, Zionist gangs invaded the Jericho prison and abducted Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat and his comrades in an unspeakable crime in front of the eyes of the world, with the involvement of Britain and the United States and the complicity of the Palestinian Authority and its subservient security forces, who stood by without action as the occupation stormed Jericho.

PFLP: Results of Zionist elections simply reflect racist nature of the state

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine stated that the results of the Israeli election simply reflect the nature and structure of the racist, fascist Zionist society that produced these results and elected the Likud Party and its right-wing allies, who engaged in the most open and extreme anti-Palestinian attacks on our people and their rights throughout the campaign.

The growth of overt extremism and racism in the Zionist society and the climate of fascism is only fueled by the failure of Palestinian and Arab officialdom to confront the occupation state, as well as the international imperialist powers who provide cover for its crimes and rampant violations of international law and preserve its immunity and impunity from accountability or prosecution.

PFLP condemns criminal attack, expresses solidarity with Tunisian people

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine strongly condemned the criminal attack on the Bardo Museum in Tunis which killed many innocent victims.

tunispalIn a statement released by the Front’s Media Relations, the PFLP expressed its full solidarity with the Tunisian People and called upon all its comrades and organisations for a wider solidarity campaign with the People of Tunisia.

The PFLP confirmed that Tunis and its People, will emerge after this horrific incident united and with a stronger will to move forward to achieve stability and reform and implementing progressive values to stand against the threat of the criminal takfiri attacks, which target the entire Arab nation and find support among governments and imperial powers that wish to suppress progressive and democratic movements in the Arab world.

Fuad in Russia: Palestinians are ready for a third intifada

Palestine is ready to stage a third uprising, or intifada, against the Israeli occupation, said Comrade Abu Ahmad Fuad, Deputy General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, in Moscow on Friday, March 20.

“A third intifada will certainly happen. The Palestinian people are ready for such an uprising…Most of the forces’ leaders think that we must exercise armed resistance within our capabilities,” Abu Ahmad Fouad, of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said during a media conference held at the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency.

Fuad spoke while visiting Russia, where he met with Russian deputy foreign minister Mikhail Bogdanov along with Comrade Maher al-Taher, member of the Political Bureau of the PFLP. In the meeting, the Front delegation emphasized that the so-called “peace process” is only a US-Zionist ploy aimed at buying time to expand settlements and cement control over the entire land of Palestine. “The Israeli election results make it clear that the Zionist state is moving only towards ever more extremism and racism,” said Fuad.

Gaza protest declares: “Venezuela, Palestine is with you!”

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the Gaza Strip organized a rally in solidarity with Venezuela, in defense of Venezuela against the U.S. imperialist targeting of Venezuela’s Bolivarian project, in particular a recent decree by the U.S. administration imposing new economic sanctions on Venezuela and labeling the country a “national security threat” to the United States, a move that is a clear threat of escalated U.S. intervention against Venezuela and its elected government.

A large crowd of comrades and representatives of popular organizations participated in the protest, carrying Venezuelan and Palestinian flags and posters of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, and the late Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, and slogans demanding an end to US threats against Venezuela.

Comrade Jamil Mizher, member of the Political Bureau of the PFLP and leader of its branch in Gaza, spoke at the event, conveying the greetings and solidarity of the PFLP, its imprisoned leader, Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, and the Palestinian and Arab people to the people of Venezuela.

By Translator For Palestine: On Palestine Martyrs Day today (March 9) we recall the heroic legacy that led to Martyrs’ Day, that of Comrade Mohammad al-Aswad (“Guevara Gaza”), and his comrades, Abdelhadi al-Hayek and Kamel al-‘Amsi, who fought to their last breath against the Zionist forces on March 9, 1973. They raised their heads and did not accept settlement, and paid with their lives, as they remind us today of the only path to Palestine, all of Palestine. The path of Guevara Gaza and his heroic struggle in Gaza is reflected in our comrade Moataz Washahe, who refused to surrender to the Zionists, in our comrade Saji Darwish, and thousands of martyrs of the Front committed to the progressive, revolutionary struggle against the Zionist occupation.

Will (again) try to get this blog up to date during the next week or so.
