By Translator For Palestine: On
Palestine Martyrs Day today (March 9) we recall the heroic legacy that
led to Martyrs’ Day, that of Comrade Mohammad al-Aswad (“Guevara Gaza”),
and his comrades, Abdelhadi al-Hayek and Kamel al-‘Amsi, who fought to
their last breath against the Zionist forces on March 9, 1973. They
raised their heads and did not accept settlement, and paid with their
lives, as they remind us today of the only path
to Palestine, all of Palestine. The path of Guevara Gaza and his heroic
struggle in Gaza is reflected in our comrade Moataz Washahe, who
refused to surrender to the Zionists, in our comrade Saji Darwish, and
thousands of martyrs of the Front committed to the progressive,
revolutionary struggle against the Zionist occupation.
