Photos from the funeral of Ali Mahmoud Safi, member of PFLP, on March 26. According to most sources he was 20, but one source claims he was 18. Safi died on 25 March after having been shot in the chest by Israel's occupation forces a week earlier, during one of the regular invasions of the Jalazoon refugee camp - invasions which in fact are part of Israel's attempt to make life unbearable for Palestinians under the occupation by making "normal" life impossible through these regular (unpredictable in timing but utterly predictable in inevitability) interruptions.
This time the excuse was said to be a protest by the refugee camp inhabitants against the building of a yet another Wall, intended to close the refugee camp even more and to "protect" the illegal colony of Beit El. The "safety" of illegal Israeli settlers and his courage to stand up and protest cost young Ali Mahmoud Safi his life.
Let's remember once again that no foreign politician and almost no mainstream journalists in the so-called "West" ever mention the safety of the occupied, so throughly has Apartheid Israel's 'narrative' taken over.
Ali Mahmoud Safi is one of thousands of young Palestinians who have dared to think otherwise, who have not lived on their knees as the "West" demands the entire Palestinian people to do and who have paid the ultimate price for their daring. Ali Mahmoud Safi deserved safety and security. Israel as an occupier doesn't and nor does it illegal settler militia.

Thousands bury Ramallah youth slain by Israeli soldiers
20-year-old Ali Mahmoud Safi was buried in the al-Shuhada (Martyrs')
Cemetery in the al-Jalazun refugee camp north of Ramallah Thursday, as
thousands mourned the first Palestinian youth to be killed in the camp
so far this year.
The funeral set off from the Palestine Medical Center in Ramallah towards Safi's home in the refugee camp, where his family, friends, and neighbors said their final goodbyes.
He was subsequently taken to the camp's mosque and then to the cemetery to be buried.
Safi's funeral was well-attended by members of the leftwing Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
"When youths are killed in this brutal way it only shows that Israel will escalate its aggressive procedures," member of the PFLP politburo Khalida Jarrar told Ma'an, adding that she did not expect Israel to end its "crimes" against Palestinians.

PFLP joins in conference of Mediterranean leftist parties, urges international solidarity with Ahmad Sa’adat and Palestinian prisoners
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine joined a large
number of representatives of leftist parties in the countries around the
Mediterranean Sea, for a conference in Istanbul of the left parties of
the Mediterranean on February 20 and 21.
The PFLP, the Palestinian People’s Party and the Democratic Front for
the Liberation of Palestine participated as representatives of the
Palestinian left in the conference. The PFLP’s representative spoke on
behalf of the Palestinian delegation, reviewing the nature of the
conflict in the region and pointing out that for the people of the
region, the main conflict is with the Zionist state and that the PFLP
views all of the existing conflicts as manifestations of the primary
conflict with imperialism, with its center in Palestine, noting that
confronting imperialism and achieving victory in this battle is key to
peace, freedom and justice in the region and the world.
On anniversary of PA arrests of comrades Abu Ghoulmeh, al-Asmar and Qur’an, PFLP demands end to security coordination
This anniversary must be an occasion to end political arrests and repression, and end security coordination and criminalization of the resistance, said the Prisoners’ Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, remarking on February 23, the 13th anniversary of the Palestinian Authority intelligence service’s criminal arrests of Comrades Ahed Abu Ghoulmeh, Basil al-Asmar and Hamdi Qur’an, for their participation in the Palestinian resistance action targeting the Zionist racist cabinet minister Rehavam Zeevi.
The Prisoners’ Committee emphasized that the repercussions of this deception and crime against the Palestinian national struggle cannot be forgotten; it was a harsh blow to Palestinian national relations and the pain continues, as these comrades were abducted with Comrades Ahmad Sa’adat and Majdi Rimawi, as well as Fouad Shoubaki, from the PA’s Jericho prison in 2006 and are held today in Israeli prisons.
The Committee demanded that the PA’s security apparatus comply with the demand of the Palestinian people to release all political prisoners from its jails unconditionally and end its position as a spectator or an obstacle, and instead contribute to the defense of the Palestinian people and confront the occupation and settlers.

PFLP leadership meets with US delegation headed by Ramsey Clark in Damascus
Comrade Abu Ahmad Fuad, deputy General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and Comrade Abu Sami Marwan, member of the Political Bureau of the PFLP, met with a US delegation to Syria, which arrived in Damascus on Tuesday. The delegation was headed by Ramsey Clark, former US Attorney General, and included US leftist activists and leaders, including former member of Congress Cynthia McKinnery and Sara Flounders, director of the International Action Center in New York City.
The meeting was convened at the request of the US delegation, which was eager to meet with the leadership of the Front and exchange political positions regarding the ongoing developments in Palestine and the region. The PFLP leaders discussed the nature of the US/Zionist aggression against the people of the region, their intervention in Syria and the attempts of colonial powers to impose their hegemony by force and military aggression, through division of the land and people, and by pushing the region into sectarian or religious conflict.
This US policy is nothing new, noted the Front’s leaders, but is the ongoing manifestation of US imperialism in the interests of the Zionist state, the US and European corporations. The Front noted that the colonial powers have waged an ongoing war against the Arab people to prevent any real progress for the region on the road to liberation, self-determination and an end to Zionist occupation. The daily crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against our people in occupied Palestine are one of the main aspects of this Zionist/imperialist campaign that must be confronted on an international level, they said.
The US delegation discussed the urgent need for building ongoing solidarity with Palestine in the United States and internationally, in particular to confront the deep involvement of the United States – militarily, politically and financially – in the crimes of the occupier, and to end its attacks on Syria, Iraq and the people of the entire region.
The delegates noted that there is a colonial scheme to divide and re-partition the region according to the interests of major corporations and imperial powers, targeting the resources of the people, sometimes through blatant political interference in the affairs of the region and other times through wars and military attacks on states and peoples.
Ramsey Clark thanked the leadership of the PFLP for meeting with the delegation, emphasizing the delegates’ political agreement with the vision and analysis presented by the Front’s leaders in the meeting. The two sides emphasized the importance of communication between the Palestinian Arab left and progressive and democratic forces in the United States to confront Zionism and imperialism in the US and in Palestine alike.

The Malcolm X Movement is a Black & Asian led decolonial
anti-imperialist organisation that seeks to unite Global South peoples
and diaspora. The Malcolm X Movement (MXM) and supporting organisations
is immensely proud to bring to our peoples the first annual Malcolm X
Film Festival taking place in SEVEN cities across England including one
in Belfast, (occupied) Ireland.
The First Annual Malcolm X Film Festival will feature three
panels/themes with related speeches and interviews from Malcolm X,
especially the last few years of his life. The three panels/themes are:
1. CIVIL RIGHTS & BLACK POWER
2. GLOBAL UNITY & INTERNATIONALISM
3. LEGACY, CONTINUITIES & CHALLENGES
This is the biggest Black & Asian radical event of its kind to
take place in England and perhaps western Europe for for the last
generation since the mid 1990s. Never before in this time has such an
event with such a inspiring amount of speakers and Global support
(including from Ilyasah Shabazz, the Black Panther Alumni, the
revolutionary Palestinian group the PFLP, the Black Panther Alumni, the
Communist Workers & Peasants Party of Pakistan amongst others) taken
place in the last 20 years or so.
With the steady but sure increasing power of the Global South against
neo-colonialism and the ‘colonial matrix of power’, with the ‘west’
increasing its covert and overt global war in an attempt to maintain its
hegemonic position and with the directly related microcosm of this
global war reflected in the increasing oppression and exploitation of
Black and Asian and working class peoples in the west, never has there
been a more necessary time for the MXM to contribute to the building of
communities of resistance in unity with the Global South.
The MXM has already delivered a free one year liberation school under
the initiative of its ‘Assata Tupac Liberation School’, and has held
one public conference entitled ‘Strike the Empire Back’ in June 2014,
see here: http://tinyurl.com/nhhuezf
The MXM is not launching until August this year (2015) when it will
organise with supporting organisations the first annual Malcolm X Summer
Festival.
We in the MXM take inspiration and leadership from Malcolm X who made
it plain himself, advocate uniting all peoples against the ‘greatest
purveyors of violence in the world’ (Dr King Jr) today which is the
neo-colonialism: “We have a common enemy. We have this in common: We
have a common oppressor, a common exploiter, and a common discriminator.
But once we all realize that we have this common enemy, then we unite
on the basis of what we have in common”***

PFLP denounces “treacherous” gas deal and demands immediate cancellation
“The signing of this gas deal is a treacherous stab in the back and a disgrace to the Palestinian people and their growing movement to boycott the Zionist occupation. It is an unforgivable crime and a manifestation of financial corruption, the waste of public money, and the squandering of the capabilities of the Palestinian people,” said Comrade Ahmad Abu Saud, member of the Central Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. He strongly condemned the Palestinian Authority’s $1.2 billion deal to import gas from the Zionist entity for a 20 year period calling for its immediate cancellation.
“We are still living with the heavy consequences and negative effects on the Palestinian economy and living situation, mired in the mud of poverty, unemployment and division” caused by the Paris economic agreement between the PA and Israel, said Abu Saud. “This new deal only continues the systematic dangerous policy of the PA that cements the Zionist grip on our people and it will contribute to increasing the Zionist treasury, to be naturally used to support its military budget and aggression against our people.”
This agreement will consume enormous sums of money over long years, providing opportunities for some brokers within the PA to take advantage of and profit from the Palestinian people. He also urged connecting with Arab movements, particularly in Jordan, to stop these gas deals and build international solidarity against the occupation as it attempts to put its hands on the gas fields discovered in the Gaza sea and the West Bank.
In a statement, the PFLP noted that this is a time when all voices are resounding internationally for a boycott of the Zionist state in all forms and in all of its products. It noted that the deal reinforces the continuing Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Jerusalem for 20 years to come, suggesting that the signatories to this deal are in support with the occupation’s continued exploitation, destruction and violation of this land and people for at least 20 more years. The PFLP urged all Palestinian organizations and institutions to act in a coordinated fashion to put the strongest pressure on the PA to immediately cancel this agreement.
Palestinian organizing builds for World Social Forum in Tunisia
Palestinian organizations are continuing preparations to participate in the World Social Forum, which will take place in Tunisia between March 24-28, where it is anticipated that Palestine will be a strong presence in the activities of the Forum.
Yousef Habash, a member of the Forum’s international coordinating committee and a representative of the Palestinian national committee for the Forum, said that Palestine will have a strong presence at the biannual Forum, which represents the largest gathering of civil society organizations and social movements globally. The theme of this year’s forum is “Rights and dignity,” Habash said, noting that Tunisia is hosting this global event for the second time in a row.
The hosting of the event in Tunisia is of great importance, Habash said, particularly in light of the momentum of the Palestinian and Arab national cause in the countries of the Maghreb. There will be opportunities to address the Palestinian cause from a number of angles, including issues facing youth, women and other social sectors, he noted.
The Palestinian committee for the Forum is also organizing cultural activities, including film screenings, art shows, photo galleries, and other cultural events. The focus on Palestine will peak on the last day of the Forum, March 28, when participants are expected to march in the tens of thousands in the “March of Palestine;” this march will take place two days before Land Day, March 30. Palestinians will participate from all areas of occupied Palestine, the refugee camps, and the broader Palestinian diaspora.
There are at least 121 Palestinian organizations and institutions participating in the WSF, which recognizes its importance as a platform for confronting neoliberalism in Palestine and globally, for highlighting the struggle of the Palestinian people, and for building solidarity among movements and leftist organizations engaging in the forum, he said, noting that it is also an opportunity to highlight the centrality of the Palestinian cause in the Arab struggle.
The activities will not end in the Forum, Habash emphasized, noting that the forum’s international coordinating committee is planning to hold its first meeting following the forum in the Gaza Strip, to break the siege and support the Palestinian people. This initiative will also work with Brazilian organizations and institutions who will be organizing delegations to break the siege on Gaza.
The Palestinian organizing committee will also be building for a Palestinian Social Forum, and to follow up with large delegations of Palestinian youth for a future forum in Tunisia in the summer to invite international youth movements to participate and build support for the struggle of Palestinian youth under occupation.

'Paradise Is in This Life, Not the Next': The Marxists of Gaza Are Fighting for a Secular State
Paradise Is in This Life, Not the Next': The Marxists of Gaza Are Fighting for a Secular State
Swairjo completed his studies in Greece, and uses his understanding of Greek to find words with Hellenistic origins in the Koran, which Muslims consider to be entirely Arabic, in order to challenge their view of the holy book. Challenging Gaza's pervasive religiosity, this is one of the methods members of the PFLP use to encourage their fellow Palestinians to view the decades-long conflict with Israel in a different light.
This resistance to faith is institutionalized within the PFLP. Swairjo has five daughters, and his friends and colleagues often say he should take a second wife to try for a son. "Little do they know, if I were to take a second wife, I would be expelled from the Executive Committee of the PFLP," he said, referencing the central governing body of the organization in the Gaza Strip. "Things like this are not permitted."
Dr. Rabah Mohanna, the 66-year-old head of the Political Bureau of the PFLP in Gaza, further stressed this separation. "Tomorrow, I have a meeting with the heads of Hamas and Islamic Jihad," he said. "When they go to pray, I stay behind. They tell me they want me to join them in paradise, but I say that paradise is in this life, not the next. In private they respect my decision, but in public they would never do so."
PFLP commemorates first anniversary of killing of Comrade Moataz Washaha
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine commemorated the first anniversary of the occupation forces’ murder of the struggler, Comrade Moataz Washaha, visiting the tomb of the martyr and his family’s home in Bir Zeit village. PFLP leader Comrade Khalida Jarrar joined a delegation of the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees, led by Khitam Saafin, and of the Progressive Democratic Student Pole at Bir Zeit University.
Comrade Jarrar spoke at Washaha’s graveside, pledging to continue the struggle and the resistance until we achieve the goals of the Palestinian people: return and liberation.
Also on the occasion on the first anniversary of the killing of Washaha, the Zionist occupation forces attacked hundreds of young Palestinians near Atara checkpoint, wounding 8 with rubber-coated metal bullets.
Jarrar presented a honorary plaque to Washaha’s family in a visit to his family home, pledging to remain true to his commitments to Palestine; it was received by his mother, who said that “Moataz remains in the hearts, the thoughts and the conscience of all freedom fighters of our people.” Washaha was murdered by occupation forces on February 27, 2014, shot 62 times as he was attacked in his home and refused to turn himself over to the occupation army, assassinated in cold blood.

Party of the Indigenous of the Republic call to Free Ahmad Sa'adat
The Party of the Indigenous of the Republic (Parti des indigènes de la république), an anti-imperialist, anti-racist organization in France, has endorsed the Campaign to Free Ahmad Sa’adat. The PIR describes itself: “The PIR is a place of autonomous organization of all those who want to engage in the fight against racial inequalities that confine Blacks, Arabs and Muslims to a status similar to that of the natives in the former colonies: political marginalization, stigmatization of our cultures and religions (including through the media), police brutality, discrimination in employment, housing, schools, repression against immigration and our communities, etc. More generally, the PIR fight against all forms of imperialist, colonialist and Zionist domination which form the basis for White supremacy internationally.”
The PIR’s message reads as follows:
“The Indigenous of the Republic is an anti-racist and anti-imperialist organization in France.
“The Palestinian cause is one of our most important priorities. We assert our solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine, especially those who are detained by the israeli occupation forces.
Free Ahmad Saadat, Free Palestine.”
The Campaign to Free Ahmad Sa’adat thanks the PIR for its support and also extends its solidarity, salutes and firm wishes for victory to the PIR and its critically important struggle against racism, oppression and colonialism in France.

Gaza protest demands freedom for Sa'adat, end to PA security coordination
The Campaign to Free Ahmad Sa’adat in the Gaza Strip held a protest demanding an end to Palestinian Authority security coordination with Israel, on the ninth anniversary of the attack on Jericho prison and the abduction of Ahmad Sa’adat, Palestinian leader and General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and his comrades.
The protesters carried banners and signs demanding an end to security coordination and demanding freedom for all Palestinian prisoners in Zionist jails. “The Palestinian Authority’s security coordination with the occupation is a shamelessly subservient support for the occupation,” said the organizers.
“The crime of the attack on Jericho goes beyond mere electoral propaganda for the war criminal Olmert, or the stated Zionist goal to arrest the PFLP leaders who avenged the blood of the assassinated leader Abu Ali Mustafa through the targeting of the racist, criminal state terrorist Rehavam Zeevi. The goal of the assault on Jericho was to target the very idea of resistance represented by Sa’adat and his comrades, to attempt to defeat and liquidate it,” said the organizers of the protest.
The participants carried a coffin with the Zionist flag and the words “Security Coordination” written on it, which they burned in an expression of their demand to bring the destructive, liquidationist policy of security coordination – and the Zionist occupation – to an end.

International Women’s Day: Statement from the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees
On March 8, International Women’s Day, the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees extend our solidarity and commitment to joint struggle to all activists and campaigners for freedom around the world who are confronting the forces of colonialism, exploitation, occupation, discrimination and racism and struggling for freedom, equality, justice and dignity; to those who defend self-determination of peoples, sovereignty over their resources and capabilities, and liberation from all forms of oppression; and to those who seek true peace with justice.
On this International Women’s Day, the rights of women around the world are violated in numerous ways: through wars and armed conflicts, through the power and oppression of racism; through reactionary forces in many regions, including in the Arab world, where such forces carry the support of imperalism to benefit its clear colonial objectives for control of peoples and their resources. Imperialism in our region has resulted in an increasing number of victims of its policies and ever more risk to the lives of people, especially women and children.
In Palestine, which is still under the yoke of Zionist settler colonialism, the Zionist movement seeks to proclaim its “democracy” and “progressiveness,” but in reality is committed to a mission of racism, murder, destruction and criminality. Palestinian women are struggling for the freedom of their people, and their message is one of insistence on freedom and refusal to compromise our rights, whether national or social, and thus continue their legitimate struggle for the inalienable national rights of the Palestinian people, the right of return of Palestinian refugees, the right of self-determination, of full sovereignty, and the right to Jerusalem as capital of an independent Palestinian state. At the same time, Palestinian women struggle for full equality in all economic and social fields, ending all forms of discrimination against them in the legal and social fields and the development of laws in line with international conventions upholding the rights of women.

labor unions and popular and youth movements in front of the
Professional Associations Complex, denouncing official normalization and
the gas deal with the Zionist entity.
The demonstration rejected the Wadi Araba agreement and all
agreements with the occupation state,
noting that the gas deal is a
disgrace that must come to an immediate end. The Jordanian people have
rejected this deal while the government defends it, said the protest
organizers. In addition, the protesters called for the cancellation of
the “Red Sea – Dead Sea” water deal and cancelling the entire Wadi Araba
treaty which represents humiliation and subjugation to the Zionist
entity.

Progressive Student Action Front in Gaza launches “1 Shekel Book” campaign
The Progressive Student Action Front at the Islamic University of Gaza launched the “1 Shekel Book Campaign” in response to the economic crisis being experienced by students in Gaza as a result of the ongoing Israeli siege.
Hundreds of students from all fields and levels of study are participating in the campaign’s services, especially after being faced with large increases in the prices of textbooks.
Comrade Haithem Abu Warda, the secretary of the Progressive Student Action Front at the Islamic University noted that many students cannot afford textbooks and must borrow books from their fellow students; the main objective of this campaign is to reduce the burden on students, he noted. Abu Warda noted that all students have benefitted from the campaign, of diverse political organizations and backgrounds.
The campaign has so far found an overwhelming response, particularly for the distribution of the book “Palestine Studies,” because of its relatively high cost; it is also required for most students at the university.
Previous campaigns have include free textbook initiatives and campaigns for free education for all. This campaign is part of the Front’s commitment to struggle for education for all and defend the rights of the popular classes to education.
In a separate context, Musa Ahmed, a student at the university urged that student elections be conducted according to the principle of proportional representation rather than individual lists, in order to produce a committed student union of high responsibility and to prevent a monopoly within the student union.
PFLP stands in solidarity with Venezuela against US sanctions and threats
PFLP stands in solidarity with Venezuela against US sanctions and threats
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine expressed its full solidarity with Venezuela in confronting US sanctions aimed at overthrowing the democratic Bolivarian government of Venezuela and undermining the will of its people, who have continually resisted US capitalism and imperialism.
The US is making clear its ongoing and continuous policy seeking to return Venezuela under the boot of US imperialism and the dictates of US policy, as was the case in the past before the Bolivarian Revolution and the election of the late President Hugo Chavez. The Front expressed its solidarity with the people of Venezuela, the government and the President, Nicolas Maduro, in continuing to resist such attempts to undermine the future of Venezuela’s popular development.
Comrade Kayed al-Ghoul, member of the Political Bureau of the PFLP, urged all progressive and democratic movements in the world to stand with Venezuela, noting the mass support of the people – and governments – of Latin America for Venezuela’s self-determination and sovereignty, rejecting and resisting the US attempt to isolate the Bolivarian Republic for its leading role in Latin America and the world in rejecting US imperialism.
Al-Ghoul added that the Front is confident that Venezuela will continue to be a thorn in the side of US capitalism and global hegemony, and a country and people who consistently stand by the side of the Palestinian people and all peoples who stand for liberation and resistance to US imperialism, which pursues global policies of plunder, exploitation, underdevelopment, occupation, war and subjugation against the peoples and oppressed nations of the world in order to further its interests.

Ninth anniversary of the abduction of Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat and the attack on Jericho prison
Saturday, March 14 marks the ninth anniversary of the Zionist
occupation forces’ attack on the Jericho Prison of the Palestinian
Authorty and the arrest of the General Secretary of the Popular Front
for the Liberation of Palestine, Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, and Comrades
Ahed Abu Ghoulmeh, Majdi Rimawi, Hamdi Qur’an and Basil al-Asmar, as
well as Major General Fuad Shobaki.
On this date in 2006, Zionist gangs invaded the Jericho prison and
abducted Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat and his comrades in an unspeakable crime
in front of the eyes of the world, with the involvement of Britain and
the United States and the complicity of the Palestinian Authority and
its subservient security forces, who stood by without action as the
occupation stormed Jericho.
PFLP: Results of Zionist elections simply reflect racist nature of the state
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine stated that the
results of the Israeli election simply reflect the nature and structure
of the racist, fascist Zionist society that produced these results and
elected the Likud Party and its right-wing allies, who engaged in the
most open and extreme anti-Palestinian attacks on our people and their
rights throughout the campaign.
The growth of overt extremism and racism in the Zionist society and
the climate of fascism is only fueled by the failure of Palestinian and
Arab officialdom to confront the occupation state, as well as the
international imperialist powers who provide cover for its crimes and
rampant violations of international law and preserve its immunity and
impunity from accountability or prosecution.
PFLP condemns criminal attack, expresses solidarity with Tunisian people
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine strongly condemned the criminal attack on the Bardo Museum in Tunis which killed many innocent victims.
In a statement released by the Front’s Media Relations, the PFLP
expressed its full solidarity with the Tunisian People and called upon
all its comrades and organisations for a wider solidarity campaign with
the People of Tunisia.
The PFLP confirmed that Tunis and its People, will emerge after this
horrific incident united and with a stronger will to move forward to
achieve stability and reform and implementing progressive values to
stand against the threat of the criminal takfiri attacks, which target
the entire Arab nation and find support among governments and imperial
powers that wish to suppress progressive and democratic movements in the
Arab world.
Fuad in Russia: Palestinians are ready for a third intifada
Palestine is ready to stage a third uprising, or intifada, against
the Israeli occupation, said Comrade Abu Ahmad Fuad, Deputy General
Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, in
Moscow on Friday, March 20.
“A third intifada will certainly happen. The Palestinian people are
ready for such an uprising…Most of the forces’ leaders think that we
must exercise armed resistance within our capabilities,” Abu Ahmad
Fouad, of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said during
a media conference held at the Rossiya Segodnya International
Information Agency.
Fuad spoke while visiting Russia, where he met with Russian deputy
foreign minister Mikhail Bogdanov along with Comrade Maher al-Taher,
member of the Political Bureau of the PFLP. In the meeting, the Front
delegation emphasized that the so-called “peace process” is only a
US-Zionist ploy aimed at buying time to expand settlements and cement
control over the entire land of Palestine. “The Israeli election results
make it clear that the Zionist state is moving only towards ever more
extremism and racism,” said Fuad.
Gaza protest declares: “Venezuela, Palestine is with you!”
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the Gaza Strip organized a rally in solidarity with Venezuela, in defense of Venezuela against the U.S. imperialist targeting of Venezuela’s Bolivarian project, in particular a recent decree by the U.S. administration imposing new economic sanctions on Venezuela and labeling the country a “national security threat” to the United States, a move that is a clear threat of escalated U.S. intervention against Venezuela and its elected government.
A large crowd of comrades and representatives of popular organizations participated in the protest, carrying Venezuelan and Palestinian flags and posters of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, and the late Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, and slogans demanding an end to US threats against Venezuela.
Comrade Jamil Mizher, member of the Political Bureau of the PFLP and leader of its branch in Gaza, spoke at the event, conveying the greetings and solidarity of the PFLP, its imprisoned leader, Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, and the Palestinian and Arab people to the people of Venezuela.

By Translator For Palestine: On
Palestine Martyrs Day today (March 9) we recall the heroic legacy that
led to Martyrs’ Day, that of Comrade Mohammad al-Aswad (“Guevara Gaza”),
and his comrades, Abdelhadi al-Hayek and Kamel al-‘Amsi, who fought to
their last breath against the Zionist forces on March 9, 1973. They
raised their heads and did not accept settlement, and paid with their
lives, as they remind us today of the only path
to Palestine, all of Palestine. The path of Guevara Gaza and his heroic
struggle in Gaza is reflected in our comrade Moataz Washahe, who
refused to surrender to the Zionists, in our comrade Saji Darwish, and
thousands of martyrs of the Front committed to the progressive,
revolutionary struggle against the Zionist occupation.
